About our Metal Hearths:

Blacksmith made, this hearth incorporates an aperture for a floor vent. The 6mm thick rim supports a 2mm plate, which is welded offset to allow for a 12mm vermiculite fireboard to be fitted beneath when using a stove with a stand. Alternatively, the hearth can be reversed with the higher lip size of 25mm, allowing for a 25mm thick vermiculite fireboard to be used, if the stove is fitted directly to the hearth.

Supplied unpainted. The aperture size allows for an adjustable vent to be fitted, (see picture 3). These vents are normally 260mm x 90mm and are available from most builders merchants and DIY chains.
